Our drying balls are extremely nifty. Just pop your SuperBee wool dryer balls directly into your dryer when you’re putting on a load and they’ll reduce drying time by 30%. This is because they allow hot air to circulate between your clothes as they spin. Better still, they can soften fabrics and cut down on static that can be caused by overdrying. You’ll also find they extend the lifespan of your clothes because you can set your dryer to a lower temperature when using them.
For the best results, we recommend not overfilling your machine, as this reduces the amount of space available for the balls to move around and can reduce their impact.

You’ll know it’s time to bid farewell when their wool starts to unravel. Just add them to your home compost or commercial composting bin and they’ll find their way back into the soil.
Are wool dryer balls safe to use in my washing machine?
Of course! Unlike single-use dryer sheets containing harsh chemicals and allergens that can trigger reactions in your skin, reusable wool dryer balls are hypoallergenic and a fully eco-friendly alternative for your laundry.
Wool dryer balls are also completely safe to use with your washing machine; contrary to public belief, they don’t pose a fire hazard! You’ll also be pleasantly surprised by how quiet they are. Our laundry balls are designed to be gentle in their impact on the inside of your dryer.
How do I clean or recharge my wool dryer balls?
Over time wool dryer balls can pick up lint, residue and odors — "recharging" them is easy. Slip the balls into a sock or pillowcase, run them through a gentle warm wash cycle, then tumble-dry them on high heat. They'll come out re-fluffed and ready for hundreds more loads.
Between recharges, just let them air out between drying cycles. If you've added essential oils to your dryer balls for fragrance, a quick recharge also clears any built-up oil.
